La Miga Bread Pop-Up

We are excited to have a few extra “pop-up” vendors this fall to introduce our CSA community to other wonderful things being produced nearby. You will find La Miga Bread at our Wednesday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 13th pick-ups as one of our first of the season.

“La Miga is micro-bakery based in the Dunbar-Spring neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona, baking naturally leavened breads in small batches with organic flours and thoughtfully chosen ingredients. We like to make bread so we can break bread with our neighbors.”

Neighborhood Loaf ($8)

Our everyday naturally leavened loaf: a simple, sturdy bread made with organic bread flour, whole wheat, and rye. Crisp crust, chewy crumb, mild wheaty flavor. Good for toast, sandwiches, dinner, or standing in the kitchen eating it over the sink. A neighborhood loaf for neighborhood activities.

Ingredients: naturally leavened organic bread flour, organic whole wheat flour, organic rye flour, Mediterranean sea salt, water.

Lemon & Olive ($9)

A naturally leavened loaf with Mediterranean character. Castelvetrano olives bring a buttery, savory richness, while organic lemon zest and herbs de Provence keep things bright and aromatic. Excellent with cheese, soup, dinner, or eaten directly from the bag while pretending you are saving it for later.

Ingredients: naturally leavened organic bread flour, organic whole wheat flour, organic rye flour, Mediterranean sea salt, Castelvetrano olives, organic lemon zest, organic herbs de Provence, water.

Turmeric & Za’atar Focaccia ($4)

Golden, dimpled, olive-oil-soaked focaccia with turmeric, za’atar, local raw honey, and Maldon salt. Fragrant, savory, and just a little sweet. No knife required. Honestly, no plate required either.

Ingredients: organic bread flour, organic whole wheat flour, dry active yeast, Mediterranean sea salt, organic extra virgin olive oil, organic local raw honey, organic turmeric, organic za’atar blend, Maldon salt, water.
