Like oven roasting or quick stovetop cooking in a skillet, grilling whole okra keeps the slime factor at bay and allows you to appreciate its wonderful taste without the ooze! You could use a Cajun spice mix or curry blend to season the okra but it is great with just salt and pepper too.
1 basket okra
Salt and pepper
Place whole okra pods in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and add salt and pepper. Mix carefully to coat all the okra pods. Skewer the okra. Place on grill until skin starts to brown or blister, them flip to cook the other side. Serve hot.
