Easy Frozen Kale

If you have had enough kale or collards for the season and want to save some for the summer this is the easiest way to preserve them!

Ingredients

  • Bunches of kale and/or collard greens

Dunk greens in water and swish around to clean well. Use a salad spinner or kitchen towel to remove most of the moister and leave out on a towel to dry further if needed. Remove any long stems, but don’t worry about removing the entire stem. Place leaves in a gallon freezer bag, trying to remove most of the air without smashing the greens. Freeze! You can add a stem or two to smoothies when desired. Or use the greens to add to recipes as needed, stripping the stems from leaves before roughly chopping.
