Holiday Market #1 of 2

Holiday shopping just got easier and more local with our Holiday “Pop-Up” Markets at Tucson CSA. As an added bonus, vendors donate 10% of their proceeds to our CS-Aid fund!

First market – Tuesday, Dec. 3 and Wednesday, Dec. 4 – Lisa Rooney & Weaver Younghands

Second market – Tuesday, Dec. 10 and Wednesday, Dec. 11 – Raven Bolas & Shazieh Gorji

To kick off our hyper-local holiday markets at Tucson CSA this year, we will have two current CSA members available to tell you all about and sell you their beautiful creations.

Lisa Rooney is a local farmer (providing delicious produce to the CSA via Westover Farm) as well as an artist, whose work surrounds connection to land and community. She works primarily in clay, in both her 3d and 2d work. Her ceramic works fuse form with function to to support sustainability, agriculture, and our connection to food. She also forages local clays to create handmade watercolors for her paintings. You can find her work online at www.lisarooney.net, and follow along @lisarooney.studio on instagram. She will have a variety of ceramics, paintings and prints available.

Weaver Younghands makes Sonoran ecology-themed lunar calendars, designed for observing and tracking your environment, health, biorhythms, gardening, harvesting, or as a daily art/reflection practice. The theme this year is How Ocean Affects Desert, teaching how even though we don’t see the ocean in our immediate environment, it is the balancer of our planetary energy, holding homeostasis for the whole planet, the driver of all weather patterns, sender of rain to the desert, the source of salt and nutrients, the source of life and of our own origin. Detailed descriptions are in the book. There is also a wall print and a pocket planner.

Both can accept payment through Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, cash, or check.
