Looking towards 2023
It is hard to believe that another year is coming to its end within a few busy, holiday-filled weeks ahead. We hope the Tucson CSA can help you can make the most of your time by providing our Holiday Pop-Up Markets, as well as other gift ideas from our CSA Shop. We also want to take a minute to look ahead to 2023.
As you know, prices have gone up everywhere. We have worked hard to keep them steady over the past three years here at Tucson CSA. The share price increased from $22 to $24 back in January 2020 and we were able to increase the percentage we give our farmers from 80 to 85% at the start of 2021. With prices at markets climbing higher, it is time to give our producers another price bump.
In 2023 produce share prices will increase to $26 per week. Your current subscription (not to exceed 6 weeks from January 1st) will remain at $24 until the week of February 14th and 15th. You will not need to make any changes to your Farmigo accounts – it will automatically change on the second week of February. After the second week of February, produce shares will be priced at $26 per week.
All memberships supported through SNAP and CS-Aid will also have some changes that reflect the need to increase the price our farmers receive per item. We will email that information out to current SNAP members and post new information to our website starting in January.
We hope you see the value in supporting our farmers more through your continued membership. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
